Fall-apart tender, Korean-inspired BBQ pork, slow-cooked in a rich blend of spices and served with warm, pillowy-soft bao buns. Fill each steamed bun with the succulent, savory pork for an unforgettable fusion of textures and flavors. If desired, garnish with your choice of green onions, kimchi, sliced cucumbers, or fresh cilantro. Slow cooker – 4-5 hours; Oven – 2 hours, thawed.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If meat is frozen or partially frozen, cooking time will remain the same.
Cooking Instructions: Slow cooker: Place contents of pork bag in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4 hours or until tender. Oven: Preheat oven to 325F. Place contents of pork bag in Dutch oven or other ovenproof container with lid. Cover and cook 2 hours or until pork is very tender. Cooking times may vary due to differences in ovens. Using two forks, pull and separate the meat along its natural fibers. Buns: For best result, steam the buns for about 5-6 minutes or until soft. If using microwave, cover buns with a damp paper towel, microwave at high heat for 15-20 seconds, flip over, heat the other side for another 10-15 seconds. Fill the bun with the pulled pork.
Suggested Sides: Garnish with your choice of green onions, kimchi, sliced cucumbers, or fresh cilantro. Serve remaining pork with steamed rice or vegetables
