The whole family will feel comforted by this old-fashioned favorite. Lean beef is mixed with bread crumbs, fresh onions and bell peppers, tomato sauce and a number of spices. Form into a traditional loaf, or divide the mixture into muffin tins for quicker baking.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, defrost in microwave before shaping into loaf.
Cooking Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a baking sheet or baking dish with non-stick coating. Remove meat from bag and shape into a loaf on baking sheet or in baking dish. (If desired, top with 3 slices bacon and ½ cup ketchup.) Bake uncovered 1 hour (45 minutes for regular size) or until internal temperature is 160F on instant read thermometer. For quicker baking, place meatloaf mixture in greased muffin pans and bake 25 minutes or until internal temperature is 160F on instant read thermometer. Cooking times may vary due to differences in ovens.
