This salmon recipe creates an elegant, restaurant-quality dish that is rich in savory umami flavor and finished with a sweet, caramelized crust. All at the comfort of your own home. The blend of white miso and honey provides a perfectly balanced "sweet, salty, and savory" profile. Oven Broiler: 7-9 minutes if thawed.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, add 5-8 minutes baking time.
Cooking Instructions: Preheat oven broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Reserving marinade, remove salmon filets from bag and place them on the foil. Position the top rack about 5 to 6 inches underneath the broiler. Broil the salmon for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on thickness. Brush fish with marinade in bag halfway through baking. The salmon should get lightly charred on top, and the middle should be just cooked through. Cooking times vary due to differences in ovens. Caramelization happens quickly. Be sure to watch after the 5-minute mark so the fish won’t scorch. Immediately after fish was removed from oven, pour portion cup of sauce over fish. Serve warm.
