Tender and Juicy Slow-Cooker Barbecued Pork Loin

Description:

Tender, succulent pork loin cooks all day in your slow cooker, swimming in our tangy sauce.  The roast falls apart, ready to top with sauce or fill hoagie rolls for big fat barbecue sandwiches that you can dip in the sauce.  Slow Cooker - 8 hours; or Oven - 2-2 1/2 hours.

Cooking Instructions

Preparation:  Thaw completely.  If frozen or partially frozen, defrost slightly in microwave before cooking.  Do not over-microwave, or meat will become tough.

 

Cooking Instructions:  Slow Cooker:  Place contents of bag in slow cooker.  Cover and cook on low for 7 hours (3 hours for regular entrée).  Stovetop:  Heat large cooking pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, and add contents of bag.  Cover and simmer 2-2½ hours (1½ hours for regular entrée) or until roast is very tender.  Oven:  Preheat oven to 325F.  Place contents of bag in oven-proof roaster.  Cover and bake 2-2½ hours (1½ hours for regular entrée) or until tender and internal temperature of pork is 160F on instant read thermometer.  Cooking times may vary due to differences in ovens.  Slice roast and serve with sauce.

 

Suggested Sides: Serve sliced on buns or with tortillas and a green salad.
