All you do is add the shrimp, onions, celery, green peppers and other goodies and give it a quick cooking on the stovetop. Serve over the rice we give you, and you’ve made an instant Louisiana favorite in your own kitchen. Stovetop – 20 minutes if thawed.
Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, defrost slightly in microwave before cooking. Do not over-microwave, or shrimp will become tough.
Cooking Instructions: Place contents of vegetable bag and 2 cups water (1 cup for regular entrée) in large saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 15 minutes (10 minutes for regular entrée). Add bag of shrimp and cook 5-8 minutes or until shrimp turns pink and opaque. Do not over-cook, or shrimp will become tough. Place rice in microwaveable container; add 2 tablespoons water (1 tablespoon for regular order). Cover and heat in microwave 1 minute or until hot. Serve gumbo over rice.
