Description:A delicious dish, made in Italy with the hunters catch. Ours is made with chicken, tomatoes, capers, garlic (if you wish) and Italian herbs and is served with yummy seasoned potatoes. Slow Cooker - 4 hours. Oven - 45-60 minutes if thawed.
Do not freeze potatoes. Use within 2 weeks.
Preparation: Thaw chicken completely. If frozen, defrost in microwave before cooking.
Cooking Instructions: Add contents of bag to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 4 hours. Carefully remove lid to allow steam to escape. Serve directly from slow cooker. If baking, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place contents of chicken bag in 9x13-inch baking dish and bake 45 min-1 hour or until chicken is done (165F on an instant read thermometer). (Check half-size pan after 45 minutes and continue baking until done.) Potatoes: Wash potatoes and cut into 1-inch cubes. Place potatoes in large skillet or saucepan; cover with water, and cover pan. Boil 15 minutes or until tender. Drain potatoes and return to pan along with contents of small bag. Cook and turn over medium heat until browned on all sides. Add extra salt if desired.
Suggested Sides: Green beans, tossed salad
