Baked French Toast with Cherry Almond Topping

Description:

Thick slices of bread are baked in a creamy custard with a cherry almond topping. Any day can be a special occasion. Oven: 50 minutes if thawed, 65-70 minutes if frozen.

Cooking Instructions

Preparation: Thaw completely. If frozen or partially frozen, bake covered 15-20 minutes. Then remove lid and spread almond topping evenly over bread before proceeding with uncovered baking time.

 

Cooking Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F. Remove lid and place pan on baking sheet. Bake uncovered 50 minutes (check half pan after 40 minutes) until puffy and golden. Cooking times may vary due to differences in ovens. Sauce: Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes just until sauce thickens. Serve warm over baked French toast.
