Braised Pork Chops with Cinnamon Apples

Description:

Declare an evening of peace and harmony when you serve this perfectly matched entrée. And who wouldn’t be agreeable around the table while enjoying tender pan-browned pork chops paired with juicy cinnamon sugar apples?  Stovetop:  25-30 minutes if thawed, 30-35 minutes if frozen.

Cooking Instructions

Preparation:  Thaw completely.  If frozen or partially frozen, defrost slightly in microwave before cooking.  Do not over-microwave pork chops, or they will become tough.

Cooking Instructions:  Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops to skillet, discarding bag. Cook until brown, about 5 minutes on each side. Lower heat to medium. Add sauce from small bag, cover pan, and simmer 15-20 minutes or until chops are tender and internal temperature is 160F on instant read thermometer. Place contents of bag of apples in a saucepan, and bring to a simmer. Simmer 4-5 minutes. Serve pork chops with apples.

Suggested Sides:  Super Suppers Corn and Potato Casserole
